Does anyone know whether Sun intends to support IEEE
Std. 1003.1j-2000 threads? This edition of the standard implements
two know sets of functions, pthread_spinlock() and pthread_barrier(),
which would be extremely useful to have in multithreaded programs.
Linux and FreeBSD have had these features for a couple of years.
