So far from my message on Wednesday I've received only one reply from someone
waiting for my summary as to how this is done. I'll send this again in the
hope that someone knows the answer. Additionally, I should say that I've got
the SUNWqlc, SUNWqus and SUNWqusu packages installed.
Original message:
I have a pair of V440's running Solaris 10 connected to a Hitachi Thunder
9500 storage array through dual FC cards (qlogic). The Hitachi works in a
way that all data should go through one channel (card) and the second should
only be used as a failover. At the moment when the Suns boot up, they are
taking the second channel which is then interfering with other machines that
are also connected to the SAN.
Is there any way I can control the default path the Suns should take to the
SAN - essentially making them use one particular card as the primary and the
other only for failover? Switching the connections on the FC cards is of
course an option, but I would like a cleaner way to do it. Despite searching
docs and the net, I have found nothing.
