Has anyone had success using a non-Sun labeled slim DVD-ROM drive in the
V100, V120, or AC200? I just bought an AC200 for home use but it doesn't
have an optical drive in it and there's no way I can even begin to afford
the $400 Sun wants for the right and proper DVD-ROM drive. Who manufactures
the slim drives for Sun?
My guess is that almost any ATAPI slim DVD-ROM drive should work, but some
might not boot?
I don't need an optical drive in a server, but it might be handy as I could
always put a PGX32 into the beast and make it my "1U Blade 100 with SCSI".
