Leaving one disk as hot spare

Hi Sun-managers list!

   I have e450 box with 20 disks, with one out of them is being utilized for
OS installation. I know how to strip/concatenate 18 disks..
Is there any way i can left one disk as hot spare...

So that next time atleat one disk failure is't the any problem..

pls tell me..
