Help, can no longer start OpenWindows through VNC

On Solaris 8, I was trying to get KDE working.

After a few hours I said no thanks and deleted everything and removed
Sun's OpenGL 1.3 packages.

Afterwards, I could no longer startup OpenWindows through VNC, only TWM.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Yes, I have tried installing the dummy frame buffer drivers for sun4u
(V440) and also reboot -- -r but neither of which have fixed the
problem.

It used to work before installing/uninstalling the OpenGL packages.

Any ideas?
