LTO2 can read LTO1 tapes?

Greetings from Mexico City...

We have an SunFire V240 running Solaris 9 and we are about to buy a new
LTO2 drive (Desktop model) but we have several LTO1 cartridges, the
question is: We are able to read our LTO1 tapes?
