I've got an Ultra Enterprise 250 running Solaris 7 (kernel ID
106541-02). As far as I know this system has never been patched since
the OS was first installed over 2 years ago.
I am now preparing to install the latest Recommended and Security patch
cluster and would be grateful for any tips anyone might have to ensure
this goes smoothly. I've heard a few stories of people applying patches
and then being unable to reboot or things not working as they should.
I consider myself to be pretty much a unix novice so I'd like to do what
I can to ensure this goes smoothly and that I can work my way out of any
problems which may arise.
