Hi All,
Is Java JDK/JRE free or there's some licensing issue involved
(though we can download it freely from sun website).
Appreciate if anyone can also provide inputs on Java sdk/jre
that are installed on competitor vendors' internal servers
(say Linux/Solaris servers owned by HP/IBM/MS) ?
What's the difference in the licensing issue between the
packages (like SUNWj3dmo, SUNWj3jmp, SUNWj3man,
SUNWj3rt, SUNWj3cfg) that are installed using pkgadd
vs those JRE/JDK files & directories that I've expanded
& installed in /usr (if any)?
If this is something sensitive & you do not want me to
summarize your inputs, kindly indicate in your response
