(1) When I try to install Solaris 10 on my SPARC from a CD, it boots
from the CD, but it gets stuck after pringing "Configuring
Devices".
(2) Hardware info:
(A) "uname -a" returns:
SunOS ekev 5.9 Generic_112233-02 sun4u
sparc SUNW,UltraSPARC-IIi-Engine
(as you can see, it currently runs Solaris 9)
(B) Model: Axil AXi-300 series
(C) CPU: sparcv9 +vis 360 MHz
(D) RAM: 512 MB
(E) Disk: SCSI 8.5 GB GB
(3) The CDs:
(A) I downloaded them from Sun, using Sun Download Manager.
(B) I downloaded the images & burned them on Linux machines.
(C) The "file" command on my Linux gives the following info:
