Hello Sungurus,

I have a situation to move data from the existing
Hitachi volumes to a New EMC box , where in we will
not have veritas volume manager, and need to use SUN
SVM on Solaris 9.

The current setup is as below:

OS: Solaris 8.
System: 480 R
SAN Box: hitachi 9500
VM: veritas VM/FS -3.5

And the new setup will be as below:

OS: Solaris 9
System: 890R
SAN Box: EMC CX700
VM: SVM ( Built in).

Eariler i had moved the data from Sun T3+ to Hitachi
with the help of plex attach and remove the old T3
Plex and make the volume online with out much of
downtime, now i am really looking out options to move
the data across file system (as the above setup) with
huge volumes having data which are having veritas
filesystem,

Any suggestions for moving data from a veritas
filesystem to a UFS system controlled by SVM ?
since the data is huge (3 TB), can't afford to have
downtime and the files will be open..pls help by
sharing your toughts/experiences.

Thanks and regards,
Sunny.
