Hello Gurus;

I am very taken in by Solaris 9 Projects and Tasks, the Resource Management
capabilities and the FSS or Fair Share Scheduler that Solaris 9 offers.

I tested and installed the above on a v240 and was very impressed by the
features.

I would like to seek opinion on those of you who have ran Solaris 9's
Projects with FSS and also limited things like number of LWP, swap size,
RSS, file descriptors in an actual production environment.

Could you comment on technical and procedural difficulties or advantages?

I know the theory and have test the above features on a test environment.
Before formally recommending I would like to understand actual real life
production difficulties.

I have also one question with regards to Solaris 9 auditing functions. Can
they audit specific Projects only?

Also in the Solaris documentation it states that the SYS or default project
has infinite shares. I would like to know more about the significance of
this statement. Could you gurus comment?

Warmest Regards
Steven Sim
