An old issue with Solaris 10 and screen locking

Ever since I've been using Solaris 10 on client machines, the screen lock
will require the root password to recover the session. Is this happening
elsewhere as well? I've done basic installs for a few desktop users. When
xscreensaver comes on, it will lock the screen, requiring the root
password to recover the session. I've googled around and searched through
patches and see nothing that talks about this... Anyone else having this
issue? I thought it was some sort of known bug but still can't figure any
solution out, other than disabling xscreensaver completely.

thanks
-dave
