T3 drive status 'substitute'

Hi,
 
Recently replaced a failed drive on a T3, which had the disk9 configured for hot spare. Now the status tells me that the replaced drive (disk1) is in 'Substitute' (or substituted) mode. Does this mean i have to do something to reconfigure the original disk9 as hotspare?
 
There's no activity on the replaced drive (from LED), and the original hot spare gets the activity like others...just don't know if the disk1 is sitting idle, or is really the new hotspare...
 
I tried looking for such a procedure in sun docs, but couldn't find anything related.
 
Appreciate some inputs...
