V240, iowait and a low target-sync-speed

Hi there,

I'm wondering whether anyone out there has installed patch 114731-07?

It addresses bad scsi_options set by 3rd party storage vendor sofware. It
also talks about being unable to negotiate to the correct speed for the kind
of disks one has.

One of the ways that one can see a problem with sync speed is to do a
`prtpicl -v -c scsi-2 `.

   <...snip...>
     :target0-sync-speed 320000 <----- in my case this is 80000
     :target0-wide 1
     :target0-TQ 1
   <...snip...>

The value shown above should be 320000 for Ultra320 disks. Funnily enough
none of the 240's in our network have a sync-speed of 320000 - and most of
them are working nicely. I don't have anything 3rd party storage software,
but I do have two HBA's installed in some of the hosts (not connected to a
SAN yet). I also see no scsi_options set in /etc/system.

Has anyone worked through this kind of issue before?

Thanks,
-Abhinav
