Hello,
On a SPARC/Solaris 9 box I would like to lock a users
account when the fail six consecutive login attempts.
I'd like the account to be locked for 30 minutes
before automatically unlocking so the user can try
again. I've been searching online and have been
unsuccessful so far.
I have tried updating /etc/default/login by adding in
RETRIES = 6, and DISABLETIME = 30, but that didnt seem
to work. The user never got locked out after 10+
attempts.
We dont have any pam_tally modules or the like (which
was on our linux boxes and made this much easier) and
we'd prefer to not install 3rd party modules.
Any ideas on how I can get this done? Suggestions /
comments are appreciated.
