booting SW from local directory

Hi Gurus,

I really need some help.....

I have SW on a CD, the installation guide of the SW states that I need
to place th the cd in the cd rom and boot -s cdrom.

The problem is that the machine I'm installing on does not have a cdrom drive.

So, if I copy the contents of the cd to one of the local dir, how can
I boot from the SW on the dir?

Any help would be appreciated & since I'm a newbie, a step by step
instruction would be apprecisted.
