cron cant mail to local users

Hello all, I am running Sol9, and have a problem with cron being unable to
mail job output to users on the system. I am running sendmail in daemon
mode, bound to localhost. The problem is that the jobs get sent to (for
instance) root@fqdn, not root@localhost. Since sendmail isn't listening on
the IP of the machine, just loopback, cron gets a connection refused.

I found some google articles about this, but none seem to provide a fix.
Any ideas? Will summarize.
