Greetings all,
I have a 420R running solaris 9 and the I am having a problem changing passwords and creating new users.
When I try to change the root password on the system I get a Segmentation fault.
When I try an useradd the command appears to work but no user is added.
There are no entires is syslog or messsages.
The permissions on shadow and passwd are:
/root]# ls -l /etc/shadow
-r-------- 1 root sys 321 Mar 18 10:57 /etc/shadow
[/root]# ls -l /etc/passwd
-rw-r--r-- 1 root sys 561 May 9 11:51 /etc/passwd
Any one have any ideas? I have done some poking around and haven't been able to find anything that is helpful.
