Bought an ultra10 creator off ebay w/o a hd - but not getting an video
signal to either a viewsonic A75f 17 inch crt or a sonycpd-220vs 17
crt. I have an ultra 5 with which both crt's work fine.

Bought a serial null modem cable from radio shack for db25 to db9
hitchup of the ultra 10 serial prot b to the ultra5 serial port a. I
took a unix admin course a year ago but have been away from it and do
not remember the speifics of changing device es etc. I get a connect
message after entering 'tip hardwire' on the ultra5 with the serial
cable attached, but I do not know which box I am hitched to. I just
installed Sol9 on a hd on the ultra5 and unplugged the hd and stuck it
on the ultra10. Then I replaced the hd on th u5 with another hd onto
which I installed another copy of sol9. So I am logged onto the u5 with
a fresh sol9 os and I know that the hd installed on the u10 will work on
a u5, so I presume it works ok on the u10.

Now I am stuck and do not know what to do next - I know there are
commands I can use to verify whether there is something wrong with the
video, motherbd, or something else that would also to debug how to get
my viewsonic to work. There is this 12 incj llong video card with a
fan, 64mb of memory and a usb plug and sound in the u10. Should I
remove it? The ebay seller claimed the u10 was capble of generating a
video display.
