How to restore from backup tape to sun V440 machine sol9

Hi Gurus,

How can I restore or clone brand new system sun v440 sol 9 from backup tape of sun v440 sol 9.

Do I should do the following?
1: first install sol 9 os
2: install backup software
3: recover from tape all file systems

I will appricate any help.
