Hi all,
I have a V880 with Solaris 8 and latest 8_Recommended.zip patchset running 6
internal disks with Disksuite 4.2.1.
The 1st two have normal UFS filesystems them, and the other 4 disks are a
RAID-0 Disksuite stripe.
When we do Oracle 8.1.6.0 database imports (write intensive) the
/dev/md/dsk/md9 metadisk is running 100% busy, while the 4 individual disks
run at 20-25% busy.
I get the same performance output values using:
* sar -d
* iostat -xtc
* VirtualAdrian (Adrian Cockroft's tuning rulesets)
UFS blocksize = 8k
Oracle blocksize = 16k
Disksuite interlace value = 32k
Any ideas?
Kind Regards,
Wim Olivier
