"teaming" NICs ?

Hello all,

Does anyone know a way to "team" two NICs (on the same card) to share one
IP address, for network fault tolerance ?
I know this sort of thing is possible with Sun Trunking, but as far as I
can work out that needs the whole trunk to be connected to one switch, but
we'd like redundancy in the switches and cables as well.

Thanks,

Daniel
