Not sure if this is against posting policy but consider it a public
service announcement.

the folks over at www.cisecurity.org have recently released a
benchmark for Solaris 10, Including a PDF with full documentation and
a script to lock down mostly all open ports that run by default on
Solaris 10.
This normally wouldn't be a big deal, but this new "svcadm" takes a
little longer to get used to than just commenting out everything in
inetd.conf and moving some init scripts.

Again. I apologize for the post. This is a free tool(also avail for
earlier versions of Solaris and other operating systems) that should
be in everyones toolbox.
