Good Morning Sun Managers,

We have a Sunfire V480 system with an attached 3310 Array. We loaded Solaris
8 on the Server and have a RAID 5 on the Array. The system appears to be
running okay but have the following three concerns/problems:

1. When trying to access ssconsole from a remote terminal we get the
following error message " Local operations error: Unable to read liscense
Datafile". This message does not appear when accessing ssconsole to a
different 3310 Array.

2. We saw the following message in the log file "PSV_FAN_FAULT_Policy zero
on fan tray" when we did a prtdiag -v there is a no fault status next to
cpu_fan but none next to cpu_fan1. Also, there are no LED indications of a
failure??

3. The following error occurs sometimes while writing data to RAID.

Sunw scscd Monitor [282] [SUNDWscsd {Hexidecimal # of drive} warning] <
rctrl 4000> scsi bus reset issued *(Note: this message changes depending on
drive See below for other 2 messages). Ch;0, Id; x (*Drive alternates
between Ch 0, Id 0,1,4,5,12). Check drive cd, cable, IO Module, replace asa
requiured unique ID 000179.

Ch 0 ID 12 Target Timeout
Bad Block encountered

Any suggestions? We have the latest firmware installed.

Thanks,
