Solaris X for the (Net)BSD user

Hi,

For ages now, I've been using BSD (mostly NetBSD and OpenBSD) system.
At work, I've received the Solaris 10 box and thought I could try it on
an U10 which is sleeping under my desk (in fact it's not sleeping but
running OpenBSD ;).

I've been using Sol8 and Sol9 a few times before but didn't feel
confortable with them. Especially, I don't like the "install all things"
method. On my *BSD, I install the minimal sets, then use the package/ports
system to install only the third-party software I need.

What I plan here is install the Solaris "core" system (or whatever is now
called the minimum install). But what are the methods to install other things
later. Let say I will install core, then SSH (if not in core), then X,
then some WM, then a few apps (mailer, webbrowser, OOo, ...).

How do you know were all the packages are ?
How do I know which packages are required to setup X ?
What is the method to get what packages are required, find them in the
CD sets (my U10 don't have DVD-drive ;) ?

TIA,
        Jo
