solaris 10 and ssh

Greetings,

Looks like has bundled a version of ssh w/ solaris 10. With this
version I cannot login to the server as a non-root user. I get the
following error in messages:

Apr 6 16:57:27 xxx sshd[736]: [ID 800047 auth.error] error: grantpt:
Permission denied
Apr 6 16:57:27 xxx sshd[736]: [ID 800047 auth.error] error:
session_pty_req: session 0 alloc failed

and then my login just hangs and I have to use ~. to kill the ssh
session. Any idea what is causing this?
