Greeting,
My machine:
$ uname -a
SunOS venus 5.9 Generic_117172-12 i86pc i386 i86pc
And currently it has problem ftpd:
$ netstat -a |grep ftp
$grep ftp /var/adm/messages
inetd[158]: [ID 220303 daemon.error] ftp/tcp: socket: Protocol not
supported
venus inetd[189]: [ID 220303 daemon.error] ftp/tcp: socket: Protocol not
supported
venus inetd[190]: [ID 220303 daemon.error] ftp/tcp: socket: Protocol not
supported
It worked before. I have installed companion CD and compiled and
installed the ipf-3.4.32 wich gcc2.95.3. (the compiling has no any error
or warning ). After I found the problem, and tried to remove the ipf
package, but it is not help.
Is there a chance to fix this problem? if so, how to?
Any comments will be appreciated
Thanks in advance
Julie Xu
