Mounting IPOD (FAT format) on Solaris 9 for SPARC

Hi All

What may appear to be slightly off topic, is not really and I can only
find a reference to Solaris 10 with Firewire info on one site.

What I want to do is mount my Ipod as a disk as per Windows and then
allows me to copy files to it as with any other USB disk. I really need
USB 2.0 because I want to use it to save my most recent system backups.
It will not hurt to have a play with gtkpod later I guess.....

My system is U10 with Sol 9 fully patched, USB 2.0 card which I have had
working with another USB 2.0 disk. I was hoping to avoid 10 for a few
more months as I do not have the odd week free to reorganise my system
when I do.

So anyone know how it is done?

TIA

Peter
