Answer: Use the command line version! I didn't know this but smpatch
is really a wrapper around the 'pprovsvc' command. So just use that.
On Solaris 8 machines it'll be located in /opt/SUNWppro/bin and on
Solaris 9 boxes they've moved it to /usr/sbin.
Works like a charm!
