Hi Gurus,

I have a strange problems. Please look at my network interfaces and routing
table which are the following.

lo0: flags=1000849<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 8232 index 1
        inet 127.0.0.1 netmask ff000000
hme0: flags=1000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 2
        inet 10.0.0.38 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 10.0.0.255
        ether 8:0:20:8d:99:4
hme1: flags=1000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 3
        inet 10.0.0.39 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 10.0.0.255
        ether 8:0:20:8d:99:5
afterburner#

afterburner# netstat -rn

Routing Table: IPv4
Destination Gateway Flags Ref Use Interface
-------------------- -------------------- ----- ----- ------ ---------
10.0.0.0 10.0.0.38 U 1 26 hme0
10.0.0.0 10.0.0.39 U 1 0 hme1
224.0.0.0 10.0.0.38 U 1 0 hme0
default 10.0.0.1 UG 1 8
127.0.0.1 127.0.0.1 UH 2 38 lo0
afterburner#

Under these conditions, I can reach to the systems via telnet with both IPs
(10.0.0.38 and 10.0.0.39).
When I remove 10.0.0.39 connection from the system, I can still reach to the
system via only 10.0.0.38.
It is logical. After attaching 10.0.0.39 connecting to the system again, I
can reach to the system via
both 10.0.0.38 and 10.0.0.39 again. It is also logical. However, when I
remove 10.0.0.38 connection
from the system, I can not reach to the system via 10.0.0.39. Is it logical?
According to me,
It is nonsense. I should connect to the system via 10.0.0.0.39. Am I wrong?
There is something
to pay insufficient attention to? Please help me.

Regards,
Asiye
