Hi,
I have a v880 server having a DUAL SCSI Single ended card. On one of the SCSI port an external SDLT 320 is connected whereas on the other port a external DLT 8000 is connected. The system had gone live some 1 year back and was working fine, with both the backup devices connected, till last week when suddenly the system started giving the following errors after reboot :-

WARNING: /pci@8,700000/scsi@5 (gWARNING: /pci@8,700000/scsi@5 (glm1):
SCSI bus DATA IN phase parity error

SCSI bus DATA IN WARNING: /pci@8,700000/scsi@5 (glm1):
SCSI bus DATA IN phase parity error

phase paWARNING: /pci@8,700000/scsi@5 (glm1):

The Problem is whenever the DLT 8000 is connected and system is booted with "boot -r" option the above messages start popping up on the console and then i have to disconnect the drive and abruptly down the system.

I have replaced the SCSI card, moved the SCSI card from the existing PCI slot to two other slots but the same result. I have replaced the SCSI IO card, the address cable and the DLT 8000 drive also on the DLT Flexipack but then too the same result. The glm patch is also the latest one.

One more surprising thing i noticed is that , whenever the DLT 8000 is connected , at OK prompt some 16 target IDs get detected after running "probe-scsi-all command as follows :- .

{3} ok

{3} ok probe-scsi-all

/pci@9,600000/scsi@2,1

{3} ok

But when i connect the same DLT 8000 to a test server (v250 server with the spare dual SCSI single ended card of the same model) it works fine without any errors.

Any Help would be of great help...

Regards
SS
