What is a door file under Solaris 8 ?
# ls -l "/etc/.ldap_cache_door"
Dr--r--r-- 1 root other 0 Mar 2 09:59 /etc/.ldap_cache_door
# file "/etc/.ldap_cache_door"
/etc/.ldap_cache_door: door

May this have anything to do with caching of the ldap client ?
Have any idea how to flush ldapclient's cache for Solaris 8 ?
