All,
      I have some Solaris 8 servers and one solaris 2.6.

I am supposed to change /etc/default/passwd to have MAXWEEKS=8

Will this effect existing accounts which previously didn't expire, or will
it just effect new accounts.

Is there any difference between what happens with Solaris 8 and 2.6
