Check throughput on a ethernet controller - Network Timeouts

All,
I am restoring tons of data via Veritas and I am getting "TimeOut" error
messages. Veritas says it is because of a network timeout so my
question is does anyone know or have any good ideas on how to check to
see if the client is actually getting flooded from the restore. It is a
Solaris 9 client running on a V480R with Gig Ethernet with a Gig
backbone. Any ideas would be great .. Thanks
