web server/ssl session problem

Hello everyone,

We have the following scenario. All webservers are
running solaris with Iplanet.

           Cisco arrowpoint(www.test.com)
          / | \
         / | \
        / | \
[webserver1] [webserver2] [webserver3]

When users access www.test.com using https, they will
hit the IP address of cisco arrowpoint, then
arrowpoint will direct the https request to the
webserver with less load.

My question:
can we make the webserver failure totally transparent
to users, even server is down in the middle of user
access? Does that mean each webserver has to share its
http/https session with all the others?

We are evaluating the following:
1. veritas cluster with webserver agent
2. platform computing LSF

Really appreciate any suggestions from you!

thanks,

zhu
