Dear Gurus and Gurettes,
I have just taken a director position for a new company that is primarily a
Sun shop. My background is in the IBM and HP marketplace. I was hoping that
you could possibly help me with the "gray market" issue that I have been
reading so much about.
>From what I have seen thus far, Sun has a huge market on the used equipment
side. How are you able to know who has quality gear and how do you know
where the gear originated? Is the cost savings that significant?
I was just given my new hardware budget and I was hoping this group would be
able to help recommend some cost savings advice for the Sun platform. I
know how much I saved in the HP industry by using resellers.
All help is greatly appreciated. I have to begin allocating some of the
monies by next week. All comments are welcome including the ones who tell
me to go back to HP...:)
