Hi
Im having some problems upgrading a Solaris 8 machine
to a Solaris 9 machine via live upgrade
The machine is setup with Solaris8
live upgrade installed
application SUNWlur Live Upgrade 2.0 10/01 (root)
application SUNWluu Live Upgrade 2.0 10/01 (usr)
the machine is not under any ODS control.
i create a Boot Environment
and copied over the Sol8 disk to the Sol9 disk
i then inserted the Solaris9 DVD media and mounted it
then i tried to upgrade to solaris 9
and i get this message
<snip>
The media is a standard Solaris media.
The media contains an operating system upgrade image.
The media contains <Solaris> version <9>.
The media contains patches for the product.
ERROR: This version of Live Upgrade is unable to upgrade to <Solaris>
version
<9>. Only upgrades to version <5.8> are supported by this version of Live
Upgrade.
Press ENTER to continue
<snip>
any ideas?
