Recommended swap size

Hello All;

With higher end Sun Fire systems increasingly able to take more memory, does
the old rule of thumb for Solaris swap size still hold true?

The rule of thumb used to specify that the swap size should be 2 x RAM Size.

I have a 15K domain which has a single board with 32 Gbyte RAM. Does that
mean I have to configure a 64 Gbyte swap size?

Does this have to be a primary swap or can I allocate a smaller primary swap
and subsequently add swap after the OS has fully come up to run level 3?

Warmest Regards
Steven Sim
