Hi,

I've just put an Intel Pro/1000 Quad port NIC into a DELL running Solaris 8
x86.
I've donwloaded and installed the e1000g driver (INTCGigaE.pkg) from
http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df/Detail_Desc.asp?strState=LIVE&Pro
ductID=983&DwnldID=6150
<http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df/Detail_Desc.asp?strState=LIVE&Pr
oductID=983&DwnldID=6150>
and ran "reboot -- -r"

The card is detected by the BIOS allright.
Still, once the box comes up it still sees them as iprb NICs (and won't
work...)
