growing filesystems with sds and EVA5000 SAN storage

Hi all,

we have a HP EVA5000 SAN with a attached Sun machine (solaris 9). I would
like to grow the filesystem on the sun which is dynamicly grown on the SAN
from 300 GB to 500 GB. I did the following:

- call format/select the SAN disk/type/auto/label. After this step solaris
knows this disk as a 500 GB disk!
- call growfs to grow the filesystem (mounted and unmounted): NOTHING
happens!!!! The filesystem is a single metadevice d100 with the SAN disk
or a single attached metadevice in a mirror d100 in a d110 ( metainit d110
-m d100). I tried both versions.
- heared there is a trick of umounting /etc/mnttab: didn4t work!

Question is: How to convince the disksuite of more diskspace?

thanks in advance! I will summarize

mit freundlichen Gr|ssen / with kind regards
Kay Markus Thiel
