What is the right firmware? How to do it? What else do we have to take into
account?
Not only because of Sun Alert ID: 50381 (BugIDs: 4785593 , T3B unavailable
after uptime of exactly 497 days) we have to update the firmware of our 2
T3B systems. Where and how to find appropiate firmware?
Looking around at the OSC I found at leasst two firmware versions: 3.1.5
(Asset Id:1-21-115180-07-1, Patch ID 115180-07) and 2.1.06 (Asset Id:
1-21-112276-13-1, updated Oct 07, 112276-13)?? Is one of these the right
firmware? Or is there another one?
What is the right procedure for the firmware update? Each of the 2 T3B
systems is a submirror. Do we have to shutdown the complete cluster before
updating the firmware on both boxes?
Or is it best to detach the submirror, update firmware and then reattach
it? Other method?
What about other firmware that has to be updated? For the disks, other
FRUs, ...? Is it done all at once? Or are these different actions?
How reliable are the proposed actons? The Sun Cluster is VERY important for
our site (HA-NFS for home directories, HA-DNS, ...)
