Sunmanagers,
Is anyone out there running LDAP as a FULL replacement for NIS/NIS+
in a large, production environment? We have a large (1000+ systems)
with very heavy NFS traffic. We have been trying to move to LDAP
for all traditional NIS tables but are having serious perfomance problems.
Anyone having any success out there? We are thinking that our LDAP
servers will need to be at least 10X more powerful than our NIS servers.
Any help or comments are welcome.
