Greetings list!,
I am trying to use Samba on Solaris 9, configurations are as follows
bash-2.05$ cat smb.conf
[global]
workgroup = WORKGROUP
server string = Samba Server
security = share
[dynamo]
path = /home/dynamo
valid users = dynamo
public = no
writable = yes
# cat smbpasswd
#
# SMB password file.
#
root:0:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:[U ]:LCT-00000000:Super-User
dynamo:103:70E5A0D7A0465E91AAD3B435B51404EE:DEADBB2888A4B858B0136DB80332FCA0:[U ]:LCT-41B9E917:Dynamo ID
Reset the password using smbpasswd for user dynamo
started the smbd deamon from /etc/init.d/samba start
But when I try to connect from PC
using \\server\dynamo it is not taking the password, I am signing in as user dynamo and I am putting the same password which I reset in samba. Is there anything I am missing?.
