Hi All,

I'm wondering if anyone knows/has heard of the dispute btwn the Titan
guys and SUN regarding ownership of Titan?

It seems a little worrysome if this is indeed true.

Cheers,
Harry

Thank you for the hundreds of thousands of Titan downloads and six
years of worldwide acknowledgment of the Titan copyright.

Amazingly, however, Sun Microsystems apparently now claims to be the
full owner of Titan, from which Sun says it has "derived" Jass/ the
Solaris Security Toolkit. Details regarding Sun's claims may be obtained
by contacting local Sun representatives directly.

A U.S. federal judge is now reviewing the dispute.

(Sun has no filed copyright for Titan but is apparently planning to
dispute the copyright on file with the U. S. government)

Sun Microsystems is based in Santa Clara, California.

Titan is, and has been, publically distributed under copyright and
license by Team Titan (Brad, Matt and Dan) since May 1998.
