Sunblade system board failure?

Hi,

A two year old Sunblade 2000 Model 900 Cu with Solaris 9 doesn't
boot up giving the error message "Can't open boot device".

The disk is good, I've swapped it into another identical
Sunblade to confirm it.

Using Openboot Diagnostics fails with 2 errors:

ERROR: ISP2200 RISC firmware is invalid. Checksum = 0x1a08
DEVICE: /pci@8,600000/SUNW,qlc@4
SUBTEST: selftest: loop-tests

ERROR: Invalid command issued to ISP2200
DEVICE: /pci@8,600000/SUNW,qlc@4
SUBTEST: selftest: loop-tests: lip-test

Installing a new disk and trying to do a netinstall gives the
following error messages regarding the Qlogic SCSI controller:

"WARNING: Device SUNW, qlc0 failed to power up" and

"WARNING: Qlogic qlc(0): /pci@8,600000/SUNW@4 ADAPTER INITIALIZATION
FAILED".

Since the Qlogic SCSI chip is built into the system board, my
opinion is that the system board needs replacing.

Can someone confirm this? Is there anything else I should try
before ordering an expensive system board?

Thank you in advance,
John Scafidi
