Overcome the limitation of /etc/group in NIS

   Dear Admins

 I have NIS running on Solaris 8 and we hv got 700 users whom we need to
put in single group in /etc/group but when we run make, it comes out
with error :--.

** Error code 1
*** Error code 139
make: Warning: Target `all' not remade because of errors
Current working directory /var/yp
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `k'

 We can use passwd in group etc.. to resolve this issue but it's a temp
solution. Is there a way by which all the users in the single group and
be able to run make.
