Hi All,
When trying to install Sun ONE Directory Server on a V120 with a fresh
Solaris 9 install, I get the following output:
>>>>>>>>>>
Choose the system user and group names under whose identity
the Sun ONE Directory server will run.
System User [root] {"<" goes back, "!" exits}: ldap
System Group [other] {"<" goes back, "!" exits}: ldap
Group ID ldap does not exist.
System Group [ldap] {"<" goes back, "!" exits}:
>>>>>>>>>>
As you can see at the bottom of the email, /etc/group lists the group
as a group. I get the same behaviour when I try to select a builtin
Solaris group such as other or nobody. I've read through the manual
and looked at google but can't find anything that I'm missing. Does
anyone have any suggestions?
>>>>>>>>>>
bash-2.05# cat /etc/group
root::0:root
other::1:
bin::2:root,bin,daemon
sys::3:root,bin,sys,adm
adm::4:root,adm,daemon

I will summarize.
