How to re-discover rootdg (was: Down-reving Veritas Volume manager ?)

Thanks for the many replies. I did the downgrade to Veritas Volume Manager
3.2 and went pretty smoothly. The only bump is getting Veritas to
recognize the old config because the software is essentially a new install,
but the configs are all on the disk. I had to run `vxinstall` before it
would realize there are existing configs (disks, diskgroups, etc) on these
devices. Anyone know of a better way to do this?

Regards.

--------------

Anyone ever try to down rev VxVM? We have VM 3.5 on our antiquated
Solaris
2.6 but even though Veritas supports it, Sun said "no way, get off of

it",
it's unsupported on Sol2.6. I agree because we're having a nasty
memory
leak problem. So I'm going to down-rev to VM 3.2. Anyone ever done

this
before? I've never had to down rev VM. Thanks in advance.

Regards.
