Solaris x86 JumpStart server on SPARC hardware

Hi,

we are using a Solaris SPARC JumpStart server several years now
and are very satisfied with this setup.

Now we have one AMD Opteron (v20z) and want our SPARC system
to be JumpStart server for this x86 machine too. But this seems
not to be easy.

   http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/817-5504/6mkv4nh3s?a=view

tells us that we need a running Solaris x86 system to copy
a Solaris x86 boot CD to our SPARC JumpStart server.

Is this really the only way?

We tried to split the iso image in the ufs and hsfs part as we
do it with the SPARC boot CD (Sun DocID: 50566). But we were
not able to get this to work :-(

Is there any easier way to get Solaris x86 CDs on our SPARC
JumpStart server?

And yes, we know using a DVD don't give us this problem, but
Solaris Express is not available as DVD yet :-)

Any help is appreciated

Willi
