Moving many (email) accounts

All,

I have what I hope is an easy question.

I have approx 250 users that use Box A for email (many folders plus their
inbox), and nothing else.

I need to start using Box B, since Box A is 10+ years old. Box B is
"virgin" (no users)

Both boxes are on the same ethernet, Box A is Solaris 7, Box B is Solaris
9.

I've read the FAQ & searched the summaries.

Can it really be as simple as:
1) Stopping email reception on Box A
2) Append the /etc/password from Box A to Box B (removing the std names
from A, of course). Repeat for /etc/group
3) Copy (ufsdump, tar, dd, etc.) the user's home files and /var/mail from
Box A to Box B.
4) Make sure sendmail is running on Box B.
5) Redirect mail upstream to Box B instead of Box A
6) Point the users' web-based email client to use the mailboxes on Box B
instead of Box A (a simple DNS change).

I mean, I know & love Unix / Solaris, but I've been working with Windows
so long, I'm having a hard time believing myself that something like this
could be so simple, so I just need a sanity check.

I will summarize, for the list and future generations of Sun Managers.

Thanks in Advance.

James
